About Us

Ronald McDonald House cares for families with children who are ill or injured. We provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare.

Our Mission

The mission of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley is to provide a “Home Away from Home” and resources to children and their families.

Our Vision

The families staying at RMHC Central Valley will experience a comfortable, calm, and nurturing place to maintain a family bond during a difficult time.

Ronald McDonald House Central Valley opened its doors on Millbrook Avenue in Fresno in 1984, becoming the fourth Ronald McDonald House to open in California.

The new House was met with tremendous excitement and support from the local community, along with a strong partnership with Valley Children’s Hospital.

As Valley Children’s Hospital grew, so did the need for a larger facility to serve families. On February 14, 2001, we opened our current 18-bedroom Ronald McDonald House, located adjacent to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera, California.

Today, hundreds of families stay at Ronald McDonald House Charities Central Valley each year. We rely on the generosity of our community to provide a place where families can stay close to their children and to continue expanding our services to support them when they need us most.

This year, Ronald McDonald House Charities Central Valley proudly celebrates 42 years of keeping families close when they need it most.

With your generosity, we can continue to help our Chapters expand their reach and ensure even more families are supported throughout the world.
